Vietnamese laws
Neither the Vietnamese nor foreigners can
own land in Vietnam.
What you actually own is the property; the buildings, the garden, etc. You are
also free to use the land.
Also,
foreigners and overseas Vietnamese investors are only allowing to:
1- Own houses, buildings etc. in the
special areas approved by the Planning & Investment Ministry or the
provincial People’s Committee.
2- Rent a plot (land) for up to 50 years.
Special in our village:
After 50 years have passed, you can renew
the contract. If you choose to invest (buy) property as an investor, you will
receive all the necessary legal documents from the Authorities. You can to rent
out, sell pawn and bequeath the property.
